From the time of our founding, Alpha Delta Pi has believed in the importance of giving back to our community. A dedication to philanthropy guides our members to spend time in the service of those who need it most. Our international organization’s commitment to Ronald McDonald House Charities has led to the donation of over $15,000,000 over the course of our partnership. More than 350 Ronald McDonald Houses in 64 countries help keep families with seriously ill or injured children together when they need it most by offering them a comfortable, temporary residence in proximity to a medical facility.
Many families travel far from home and spend several weeks or months to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children. And, for children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems scarier than not having mom and dad close by for love and support. A Ronald McDonald House is that “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost.
Alpha Delta Pi is proud of its long-standing relationship with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Since our partnership began in 1979, Alpha Delta Pi has contributed more than $6 million to this worthwhile organization.
At Alpha Delta Pi, we recognize the importance of giving back to the community. Our national philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House Charities, and in 2023 we raised over $10,000 for the organization. Every fall we hold our annual Silent Auction event to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation.
We are so fortunate to have our very own Ronald McDonald House within three miles of our ADPi House. With the Ronald McDonald House Charity of Akron so close, we are able to volunteer regularly, along with hosting Pi Hop in our spring semester.
